5 validated opportunities from real Reddit demand
5 validated business ideas in BID carry the CRM tag, each sourced from a real Reddit thread and scored across four dimensions: opportunity size, problem severity, feasibility for a solo founder, and market timing. 3 companies are already earning revenue in this space, proof that the demand converts into paying customers rather than sitting as unanswered upvotes on a forum thread. The clearest recent signal came from r/Entrepreneur: "the SaaS model is quietly falling apart for small businesses and nobody in tech wants to admit it," a thread scoring 9 out of 10 on BID's opportunity model. This page updates automatically as new crm threads clear the scoring threshold and get published as full idea reports.

“I run a 12 person company and I just did our annual software audit and the number genuinely startled me so I want to see if other business owners are experiencing the same thing. We are paying for 23 separate software subscriptions right now, everything from accounting to project management to CRM to email marketing to analytics to internal communication to file storage to scheduling to customer support to payroll, and the total monthly spend across all of them is $4,100 which is almost $50,000 a year on software for a 12 person company. five years ago that number was about $1,200/month for roughly the same functionality the thing that's happening is every tool is creeping their prices up 15 to 20% annually while simultaneously moving features that used to be included into higher tier plans, stuff that was in the basic plan two years ago is now "premium" and the basic plan has been hollowed out to the point where it barely does anything useful but the part that really gets me is th”

“Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice on choosing a CRM system for a small business. We sell air purifiers and replacement filters, and we need a better way to manage and re-engage our existing customers. Right now we’re using Google Sheets, but it’s become unmanageable. We can’t easily: •see when a customer last ordered, •view what product(s) they have, •or log team notes and follow-ups. Ideally we’re looking for a CRM that allows for:: 😀 Full customer overview: purchase history, product owned, and last contact date. 😃 Notes & activity tracking: ability for my team to log updates after interactions. 😄 Reactivation & reminders: automation or alerts to remind customers (or us) when it’s time for filter replacements. 😁 Basic communication integration: ideally with WhatsApp or email for automated reminders or simple outreach. 😆 Ticketing / request capture — a way to log customer requests or complaints in one place. We’re not a call center or sales-heavy operation, we a smal”

“I run a small team (8 people) and we're wasting so much time on CRM data entry it's insane. Every meeting needs to be logged, every email thread needs notes, every interaction manually entered. My sales team spends like 30% of their time just updating the CRM instead of actually selling. I want something that just fucking knows when a meeting happened, can see the email thread, and doesn't require constant manual babysitting. None of us on the sales side are very tech savvy so trying to set up a lot of these automations in the past was pretty daunting but with all the AI stuff this feels like it should be easier?”

“I work with two small businesses: home remodeling and screen installation. They are two separate companies but share the same owner. We currently use JobTread and HubSpot. JobTread is great for tracking our jobs and vendors. There’s no question that we’ll continue using JT. As for HubSpot, I honestly don’t have many complaints. It works perfectly for our marketing emails. We receive calls through Dialpad, which is integrated and helps us track calls. It’s also very useful for email tracking, since it notifies us when a customer or lead opens an email and how many times. We also have JT integrated and route new leads into HubSpot. On top of that, our website forms are connected to HubSpot, which helps us track new leads. My favorite feature is the dashboard and reports you can create to monitor KPIs and leads. That said, HubSpot is becoming too expensive. I’m now looking for a CRM that can offer similar benefits to HubSpot but at a lower cost. Edit: Appreciate all the suggestions he”

“Hey folks, I run a small/medium construction business and I’m trying to find a CRM that actually fits how we work. I have tried zoho, salesforce, they are like too complex and difficult for customization. I’m mainly looking for something that can handle: * Leads/enquiries * Project updates & progress tracking * Site visit scheduling * Quotations & follow-ups * Vendor/sub-contractor management * Payments tracking * File sharing (drawings, BOQs, contracts) * WhatsApp/email updates to clients * A mobile app so my site team can use it easily If you’re in construction/contracting and using a CRM you actually like, please let me know what it is and how it’s been working for you. Even if it’s a new startup tool, I’m open to checking it out. Thanks!”

“If you are using a spreadsheet to track clients, leads, follow-ups, notes, or opportunities, I’d love to talk to you. Most CRMs feel way too complicated for solopreneurs and early-stage teams. They ask you to set up pipelines, fields, views, automations, dashboards, and workflows before you get much value. But the actual job is usually simpler: * Remember who you talked to. * Know what happened. * Know who needs a follow-up. * Find the right context when you need it. We’re building Finder, an AI-powered CRM for people who want the usefulness of a CRM without turning it into another project. The goal is to make it easier to manage customer relationships as they actually happen, through contacts, companies, notes, follow-ups, and plain-language search. For example, you should be able to ask: * “Who do I need to follow up with this week?” * “Which clients mentioned pricing?” * “Show me everyone I spoke with last month.” * “Find companies interested in a proposal.”

“I’m looking for the best all-in-one salon software that can handle appointments, scheduling, payments, client profiles, memberships, and intake forms, everything in one place. Right now we’re piecing it together with: * Booking/Scheduling: Acuity * POS: Square * Memberships & Loyalty: Square * Client Notes / CRM: Hubspot + Google Docs It technically works, but the tools don’t talk to each other and it’s becoming a headache. For example, we’ll collect a deposit through Acuity, but Square doesn’t recognize it so the front desk has to manually check how much was paid before charging the rest. And client notes? Scattered across tabs and apps. We’re desperately looking for salon software that ideally has these features: * Online booking that’s simple for both clients and staff * No login required for clients to book appointments * A shared staff calendar to avoid double-bookings * Client profiles with visit history, formulas, and notes * Integrated POS with tipping, discounts, and ”

“I'm looking for a software that can save my services, generate proposals, and send them off to potential clients And the same with Invoices... I don't want to pay for QuickBooks - it's way too complex and is overkill for something like this Bonus if the app has a CRM too... Any recommendations? I don't want big, overkill software recommendations.”

“Hi everyone, I recently stepped into a brand-new role at my company, and right now **everything is still done on paper** — work orders, POs, customer notes, you name it. My goal is to help bring us into the modern age with a **comprehensive system that combines CRM and field service tools** so we can centralize information, streamline operations, and stop relying on individual folders or people to hold critical details. Here’s what I’m hoping to find in a solution: * **QuickBooks integration** * **Digital work orders and POs** (no more paper!) * **Centralized customer information** accessible to the whole team * **Robust field service scheduling and dispatching features** * **Bonus:** A **project management or new construction tracking component** I’ve already spoken with Salesforce because I used it daily in a previous role, so I’m familiar with its CRM capabilities and like the way it handles tracking quotes and jobs. That said, I’m not sure it’s the best fit for what we need — a”

“We’re not a huge org, so the pricing on some of these tools is just wild. I’ve been comparing options for the best donor management software for nonprofits and either it’s super expensive enterprise stuff or very basic donation forms with no real crm features. There’s no in between and that’s what’s confusing me. Surely there are more orgs in the same situation. What are you all using? ”
